New Erasmus+ Project Launch: “We Are Leading the Wave of Water Sustainability” (H2O Warriors)
We are excited to announce the official launch of a new Erasmus+ project titled “We Are Leading the Wave of Water Sustainability”, known by its acronym H2O Warriors. Coordinated by Școala Gimnazială Octav Băncilă Corni in Romania, this 24-month project begins on January 1, 2025, and runs through December 31, 2026.
This transnational initiative brings together a passionate consortium of partners from across Europe, including:
- Siauliu Jovaro progimnazija – Lithuania
- Acıpayam Sefer Demir Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi – Türkiye
- BIG BUCKET – Ireland
💧 Project Vision
H2O Warriors was born from the urgent need to protect one of our planet’s most vital resources: water. We aim to spotlight the essential role water plays in every aspect of life and advocate for its recognition as a fundamental right for all living beings.
Far more than a utility, water is at the heart of global health, sustainability, and climate action. This project seeks to drive awareness, foster eco-conscious behavior, and empower students and educators across Europe to champion water conservation.
🌍 Our Objectives
Our project centers on three major goals:
- Protecting Our Water – Promoting clean, healthy aquatic environments.
- Teaching Water Conservation – Raising awareness about responsible water use.
- Encouraging Sustainable Water Practices – Supporting water-wise habits at school, at home, and in our communities.
These align closely with the European Union’s environmental priorities, particularly in fostering green skills, supporting climate resilience, and creating a culture of environmental responsibility among young people.
📘 What We Will Achieve
The H2O Warriors project will produce a wide range of impactful and lasting results, including:
- A dedicated educational website with interactive and multilingual content.
- Environmental materials such as a Virtual Water Footprint Calculator and rainwater harvesting systems.
- Digital guides and e-books focused on practical water conservation techniques.
- Interactive workshops and science experiments to deepen learning.
- Awareness campaigns and events, including the global World Water Day celebration.
These outputs will not only support environmental education but also encourage student leadership, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, all within a European framework of unity and innovation.

- Virtual Activity: Celebration of World Water Day
A coordinated campaign to educate and inspire communities about water preservation. - “AquaVita Week: Celebrating and Conserving Lithuania’s Waters”
Hosted by our Lithuanian partner, focusing on national water ecosystems and their preservation. - “Water Guardians: A Week of Learning and Growing in Türkiye”
A week of dynamic educational activities, experiments, and local outreach in Türkiye.
